Participants in all RATED SECTIONS must have a current USCF (United States Chess Federation) Membership. If you wish to join the USCF, or
renew your membership, please visit: The USCF membership page.
USCF Membership is NOT REQUIRED for players in the NO SCORE, NOVICE 1 or Novice 2.
BYES POLICY:
We understand you may need to arrive to the tournament late or leave early. If your child needs to miss a round of the tournament, you may request one 1/2 point bye at sign up. This means your child will not be paired to play in that round, and will receive 1/2 point for the round. If your child needs to miss an additional round, they may receive a zero-point bye (please e-mail us at alanna@gmchessacademy.com to let us know if this is the case).NO BYES FOR PLAYERS IN CLASSIC, OPEN & CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE PERMITTED AS THESE SECTIONS ONLY HAVE 3 ROUNDS.

REFUND POLICY:
There are no refunds once registration is complete. If the participant is unable to attend the event for any reason, please notify us immediately. Credit will be awarded towards a future Growing Minds Chess Academy tournament at NEST provided 2 day notice is given. The credit must be used within the 2018-2019 school year.Registration will be processed once payment has been received.
